It is the debut release of UnGenre Records, her own label, built around a simple idea: that some artists don’t belong in one box, and shouldn’t have to pretend otherwise. We spoke with her about the label, the sound, and what comes next.
Amymi UnGenre Records launched alongside your debut release. How long had the idea of starting your own label been on your mind before it became an actual plan?
